President's Welcome Welcome to the Texas Association of County Auditor’s website. The purpose of this new website is to provide continual access to information relating to the office of County Auditor and links relevant to Texas county government in general. While we strive to keep our site current, over a period of time, links may become broken or discontinued. If you know of additional links or information that users of this site would find beneficial, please let us know so we can share the wealth...of information, that is. One saying frequently appears in requests for information amoung County Auditors as well as other county officials..."I don't want to re-invent the wheel." The day-to-day routines of our office persist in keeping us busy enough, so re-inventing forms or finding solutions to problems already conquered by someone else is just inefficient. Therefore, we are confident that the information presented here not only promotes the mission of the Texas Association of County Auditors, but also furthers our quest for more open, accessible and transparent County Government. This website will serve not only the membership of the Texas Association of County Auditors, but we seek to use it to reach out to other county, state and local officials with whom we serve. We also offer it to the citizens of our state as a portal into our responsibilities, duties and mission to bring a greater understanding to the public. As with most things we do, a team effort brings the greatest achievements. The TACA Board and its hardworking committees are able to present this site's information with the help of dedicated and talented committee members. We sincerely thank the Texas Association of Counties and the County Information Resource Agency for serving as our website host. Without the leadership and support of the late Executive Director Sam Seale, we truly would be in the dark.
